I have taken the best bus three to four times in the last three months and the trips have alway been great. The bus drivers are good driver's and the guys that help load the bus are the best

I really like BestBus company. The bus always leave on time. You have free WiFi and water. The whole team are very friendly and polite. I missed my bus in few occasions because I had an emergency and they always give me a credit. They really care about the costumers. I would love if they expand more the schedule. I'm very happy now they stop at Manassas.

I thought I made our reservation but when I got there, I found out that I did not completed the reservation but they had two additional seats available and we were able to make our trip. The seats were comfortable and I was glad I wasn't the one driving. Great ride

Every aspect of the trip was efficient, professional and comfortable. Orderly line-up and check-in was facilitated by rep w iPhone. Helper loaded bags and cooler w bottled water available upon entry. Rep announced prior to departure that passengers would vote to decide of we were to be non-stop NY-DC or have 10 minutes atop mid-route, we overwhelmingly to be non-stop.
Projected 3-1/2 hr trip was dead-on. Bus was clean and wi-fi worked, I'd definitely recommend to others and ride again

I always purchase a ticket for mom to come Visit me from NY to VA and I never used this bus before. The reason why I'm writing this comment because my mom insist and she kept asking me to rate this bus as how professional,clean & organized bus they are, it always arrive at time even if it's holidays or not,, the drivers too are very professional, polite and helpful as well , every time my mom uses best bus she is super happy thank you guys and keep it up

I took a bus about 3 months ago. I went to travel New York by myself.
In fact, I was afraid of going to other cities by myself as foreigner.
I am Korean tourist. I asked my teacher which bus do you like.
She recommended the BestBus.
And when she went to other cities, she also often used the bus.

The following is answers why I like BestBus.
First, I went to Washington D.C to ride an intercity bus because I stayed near vienna metro station.
But this BestBus came to vienna metro station, I was convenient to go there.
Second, I printed my reservation paper to check a seat.
But thanks to a person who checked tickets, I rode a bus without anxiety.
Third, the bus had water for customers. I was impressed this point.
Although the cost of water included bus fares, I was feeling good done by.
Finally, I remembered the bus was much cleaner than other buses.

For these reasons, I will use BestBus service again.
In addition, I will recommend people who I know.

After a change in my travel plans, I called with some questions about changing one of the two round trip tickets I had purchased. She was incredibly helpful and even resolved the entirety of the problem without me having to go back online to make the switches. 

Great costumer service is not something you find often these days. So to have a bus company where I can actually speak to someone and have my issues resolved within minutes is certainly impressive and appreciated. 

I already told my co-worker about the great costumer service I received and I will certainly recommend it to others. 

I'll take my first trip with you all today and I am already very glad I chose to travel with BestBus!

The morning of Tuesday 6 January Sam Fleming masterfully guided the BestBus through the ice-covered, unploughed streets of D.C.. He maneuvered past stalled and skidding vehicles, and deftly avoided variously closed and clogged roads. He generously (and sensibly) deferred to the many witless drivers defying the conditions in front of and beside us, attempting to prevent them from adding to the morning's casualty list. Sam simply smiled and kept going. The harrowing trip to, through, and out of Bethesda would have tested the temper of anyone on or off the road, simply observing other drivers' shenanigans. But Sam remained calm, the consummate professional, the consummate gentleman.

I rodé Bestbus for the first time last week. I was carrying one large suitcase and a carry on small suitcase with me: difficult combination to carry when you are traveling alone. But being NY, I was ready for doing it alone. As I had to reach the subway station , I asked Bestbus dispatcher, Mr Felix Castro. Not only he was very thorough in indicating where to go, but he offered to walk with me to the station! Schlepping the suitcase! In 15 years of life in Manhattan, this had never happened to me: Felix walked with me all the way to the station, and came up and down with my suitcase : what a gentleman!all the while exhorting how much he liked working with Bestbus, and even showing me pictures of his family. what an honor to be a passenger when you are given the royal treatment! People like Felix castro should be awarded the employee of he year award - I r rally thank him and thank Bestbus for having such sympathetic staff - truly special

Best Bus (formerly DC2NY) is by far the best bus service to NYC. I went to grad school in NYC while my girlfriend lived into DC, so I've taken just about every bus service. Reasons why Best Bus is truly the best. 

* Tons of leg room
* Passengers vote on whether to stop at the Delaware Welcome Center for food and bathrooms, and passengers vote for movies (note: every time I've taken the bus the passengers vote no to both)
* Large screens if they were to play a movie
* Drops you off on 8th avenue right next to E train unlike many others that drop you off on 12th avenue
* Always makes the trip in 4 hours. One time it was 3 hours and 45 minutes but it never feels unsafe. 
* Good rewards program (points don't expire)
* Outlets located between the seats instead of on the wall so if you sit in the aisle seat you don't have to awkwardly reach across somebody and have a cable run across their legs.
* Wi-Fi is typically better than other bus companies (though still not great, especially in rural parts of the drive. I often tether my phone instead).
* Clean bathrooms
* They give you a bottle of water

At about 30 dollars each way it can be more expensive than Bolt or Mega bus, but that's still really cheap considering you are getting to NYC. Tolls cost twice that if you were to drive.

was very impressed! The bus driver Mr. Heineken was so friendly and we got free bottled water. I hope he's driving next time I use this bus. The seats are comfortable, have cup holders and mini trash bags, as well as adjustable curtains over the windows. We had a short rest stop in Delaware, which was nice, and the wifi worked okay. Occasionally, the signal dropped, but this was to be expected on a low cost bus. Well worth the extra $10 more than Megabus would cost, after having a bad experience with them (I paid $30 for my DC2NY ticket). Highly recommended

Friendly, efficient service that actually leaves on time and uses accurate estimates for travel time. Refreshing, as I have had horrible experiences on Bolt Bus (Bolt Bus tends to overbook to account for dropouts, so that my boyfriend ended up traveling on the hump in the back of the bus and not having a real seat! It was the last bus of the night, so no other transportation option) and Megabus (bus 2 hours late with not a hint of apology or recognition of the inconvenience this caused, plus a woefully unhelpful and uncommunicative driver).

If you're deciding between bus companies, definitely choose BestBus (formerly DC2NY). It's clean, comfortable, and provides solid customer service. Never taking another bus company again

I took the bus this morning from NYC to Rehoboth, DE. It was a very comfortable ride, with no stops. I wish this was available year round. May I suggest more advertising so more people will know about BESTBUS. 
I found out about this option only through some guests last Monday, and was pleasantly surprised, beats having to drive to NY and back or take Amtrak and still drive two hours to South DE.  Perhaps if the trip will pick up passengers from Philly, and Wilmington, then Dover, DE in the fall, winter and spring and scheduling two , three times a week there will be enough travelers who can use the service to make it feasible business wise. Widely advertised it should work.

PRAISE! You have the best service and the finest employees! Your drivers are excellent, skilled and safety- and customer focused. The buses are immaculate, and that means your cleaning staff works extraordinarily hard. The persons on the ground are efficient, knowledgeable, and gracious, and your customer service person on the phone is wonderful. Yesterday, I saw something exceptional: I took the 8 p.m. from NY to DC. There was extraordinary gridlock throughout the city; streets were blocked and large areas were closed for events, even some subway stops were shut down. The two DC2NY on-the-ground men worked unbelievably hard, yet they were as gracious to customers as a concierge in a high-end hotel. One especially kept passengers informed about the unpreventable delays with a smile; he also cleaned the bus between the arrival and the departure -- so fast and still got each seat a trash bag and each customer a bottle of water. I've rarely seen anyone work this hard. Yet, he had a smile for every customer and graciously answered questions. He even did great PR for you, suggesting we watch the website as there'll be some news for members about changes/improvements. He really worked hard! I don't know how you get these excellent employees and keep your buses immaculate, but I love it. My only suggestion is: earlier weekday departures from DC and later weekday departures from NY. Just wanted you to know how much this member appreciates your service and your hard-working employees. Joan

My name is Simon Revo and I am a frequent traveler on your companies busses. I am a legal assistant for a criminal attorney and spend a lot of time going back and forth from DC to New York.
I had a complaint about the last ride to New York concerning the lack of volume control for the movie during the ride. Modupe immediately addressed the issue and credited my account. I am once again a satisfied customer and will be using the credit to travel this weekend. Modupe has been a lifesaver, not only in this circumstance, but also during past incidents which required customer assistance. It has been a pleasure doing business with her. I've always thought that the buses going to NY were basically indistinguishable and that the only real difference was which had the most convenient time for me. I was proven wrong this morning! Getting on the bus was quick and efficient and I was helped with my bag (I know that seems basic - but trust me, it doesn't always happen!). The attendant (don't know his name but was Dutch) was delightful and efficient. I also noticed that he recognized a customer who hadn't ridden in a while and chatted with her briefly. I have seriously never seen that happen - and I ride buses to NY often. Plus cold water? Sold. I'll ride with DC2NY whenever possible. Thank you for the service you provide and Merry Christmas.

You guy's are great!!
I missed my buss on Sunday and i spoke with a really nice lady (i should have gotten her name (i called the office about 5:30 pm, maybe that helps?) and she instructed me that all i had to do to move my reservation to another time was to show up with my name and reservation number. I showed up at 2pm today (Monday ) and after masking sure there was room for me the attendant honored my previous reservation!! Making my return much less stressful that expected. I just wanted to say thanks for providing consistent service and flexibility.

I wanted to send a quick note to share how much my husband & I enjoyed our experience riding with DC2NY this weekend. We booked a last minute trip to NY this weekend, taking Bolt Bus there & DC2NY back. The difference between the 2 rides was substantial - Bolt was just "bearable" while DC2NY was enjoyable (as much as a 4.5 hr ride can be)-- from the clean, comfortable bus in full working order to the communication that the on-site coordinator had with us while in line & as we boarded. I wish I could say the same for our experience with Bolt! 

In particular,our driver, Ernest Levingstone (I may be misspelling his name) was wonderful & he provided us with a quick & safe ride home to DC.
 

I should also mention that I am a neighbor of Asi's (whom I recently met at our condo board meeting) & everything he told me about your services was spot on! Our friends & family visit from NYC often & we will be sure that they use DC2NY for future trips.

My name is Kevin. I just wanted to let you know that you have AWESOME customer service. Everyone I have dealt with is extremely customer service oriented. In particular, Debbie (I hope I have her name correct) impressed me by returning my phone call within an hour. This is amazing since I left the voice mail message after business closing. And not only that, she accommodated my request to change my reservation even though the bus departure time was less than 12 hours away. And not only that, when we discovered that the new departure date had a bus leaving from VA (I live in VA near the Vienna metro), she made a second change to the reservation so that I could leave from a much more convenient location. And all this after the official close of business!

He took a frustrating situation and defused it. He is excellent at managing your customers' expectations and does an even better job trying to make them happy. A happy customer, is a repeat customer. DC2NY route. Just want to say that Catherine is a terrific driver! She is consistently nice, efficient and on-time. My experience has been that the majority of your drivers are pretty good, but I breathe a sigh of relief whenever I see that she's driving my bus to New York. One of the reasons I don't bolt for one of your competitors.

I just wanted to pass along a big thank you and props to the whole DC2NY team. For years I have been doing the DC to NY commute (family, boyfriends, relocating) and I have taken many different buses. DC2NY is consistently the best in al ways, including service, timely departure, quick rides, and fun hosts. (Visily!)

 

Today I arrived at 34th st in NYC planning to take a much later another carrier bus, but my plans changed and the DC2NY bus was on the curb. The gentlemen checking in was a HIG help. Not only did he let me board last minute but he patently waited for me to book a ticket on my phone since I had no cash and would have had to incur ATM fees. 

 

I can't thank you enough for the great and friendly service you provide. I would take you 100% of the time if the scheduling worked out. Regardless, I always check your schedules first and recommend you to fellow NY/DC commuters.

Fantastic bus service--clean, comfortable, great staff. Loved the ability to get out to suburban VA on the bus instead of having to struggle w the Metro. WiFi and outlets let me get work done, which I really appreciated. And since it seems that someone is actually paying attention, I felt that your bus company provides safer travelling.  I am writing to rave about my wonderful experience with the DC2NY bus I took from the Franconia-Springfield Metro Station last Tuesday, 11/22. It was my first trip with your company and will certainly NOT be my last! The bus arrived right on time, loading was smooth. I was really surprised at how nice & clean the bus was. And I cannot give enough praise to our driver Chuck (and his assistant also) - Chuck was absolutely adorable, funny and an excellent driver. I really enjoyed his little facts about NY as we got closer to the city - he has an excellent sense of humor! The DC2NY bus is the best deal in town and I look forward to my next trip with you folks! Good afternoon, this is just a positive customer comments, my name is Dina I traveled yesterday Sunday June the 5th 2000 any levin under reservation number 16839, dash 387937, wanted to compliment you guys not only on the service on the efficiency, the fact that you had somebody standing by the bus, you know who was able to basically check off names, they boarded every body quickly got all the the luggage and Carrie on's packed away. Extremely expeditiously. The gentleman that was I guess to help her on the bus and in conjunction with the driver, the gentleman with the long ponytail very nice very pleasant person more than that I was even pleasantly surprised at the bathroom with absolutely positively thread there clean, and is very nice smelling, I was shocked about that, I've only done bus trips a few times in my life and, both times, that I remember it was just a filthy awful nasty experience so I appreciate that most wholeheartedly. Was it, yeah. I'm sorry there was someone I Doris anyway thank you very much to everyone bye-bye.

Currently on the bus to DC. Having an excellent experience so far. Debbie is our customer service rep and she has been great! She acknowledged that we had a long way left to go for our ride and had another vote to watch another movie. Most people wanted to watch another so I don't even have to entertain myself for another 3 hours! This is great.

I was on the 8:00 Friday bus to DC when it was announced that all bus service had been canceled on Sunday. During that very stressful time during the hurricane, you kept in touch with me throughout my stay.  Believe me, the most important call I received was almost midnight to tell me to be on the first bus out. (I hadn't read the email that was sent from DC2NY).  Then I find out the next day that it was the President who actually called me (Asi Ohana).  (He had modestly introduced himself as a manager at the bus.)  Well, with great management and service, you have a satisfied customer.
 
Thank you to the young man who always checks us in at DuPont Circle.  He is always cheerful and clever and dependable. He remembers his customers. The drivers are always professional.

 I rode on the bus from NYC to Vienna,VA Metro Station on Friday, 8/26/11. The bus driver was Chuck Campbell. He was the most pleasant, friendly driver I have ever encountered on one of my many trips to/from DC/NYC. He was considerate and kept us informed on ETA. Anyway, I am not one to write reviews, but I just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed my trip with Chuck. Thanks.

Took 10 am bus on 13 Aug from NYC to Washington, DC. Traffic and rain was bad. Driver (mr. Gomez) did a great job of getting us there despite having to change buses after the AC broke down. DC2NY is the best !!!

Just wanted to give some feedback on a recent round trip I took to Manhattan. First, I appreciated the fact that the CEO of the company himself appeared on our bus to greet us. Second, I thought the driver Charles Campbell (who drove both ways) was gentlemanly, cordial and all-around a great driver. Finally, even though the WiFi service broke down on our trip back, the company apparently offered to switch buses in New Jersey. We voted not to do so, but I thought it was an excellent gesture.

On Thursday, May 19, I took your 9:15 am bus from Du Pont Circle to New York City. It was driven by Mr. Chuck Campbell. As a recurring DC2NY passenger, I have had the privilege of riding with him before. Once again, he was the epitome of a professional driver who expertly maneuvered his way through city traffic and on I-95. Moreover, he is an affable and charming host who takes a congenial interest in the people who are fortunate enough to ride with him.  My elderly parents travelled to NY on May 8 at 1:15pm. I cannot thank your driver enough for the personal attention he gave my parents. I was quite concerned about them travelling alone... and had mentioned it to your driver. The courteous man helped them with water (The sign in guy) and then the whole way the driver kept checking in on them). My sister was late in picking them up, your driver stayed with my parents till family arrived. How can I thank him? Please give him a raise!!! I am recommending everyone to your bus!!! I just wanted to tell you that I had a wonderful experience on the DC2NY bus leaving 14th and H at 12:15 yesterday, 10/31. The driver was great, and not only did I get to FINALLY see Date Night, I also got to watch the Skins game! Although the Skins played terribly, I was thrilled to watch it! I even got work done!  DC2NY is definitely the best of the dc-new york buses I've experienced. Thank you.

I am writing to share that THE REASON my entire family uses DC2NY on a regular basis is your man on the ground in DC, Vasily. On my 82 year old mother's first trip several months ago she was nervous. He greeted her warmly, settled her in and asked the driver to do the same on the other end. On every one of her many trips since then he greets her BY NAME and goes out of his way to make sure that she doesn't stand in line too long and gets easily on. Singlehandedly he has engendered tremendous loyalty from our family and it is always a pleasure to see him when we travel. A brilliant hiring choice on the part of your company and all of our complements and appreciation to him. He is a terrific problem solver.

I want to commend the bus driver Catherine/Katherine who did the 10AM trip last Thurs.(8/12. We had a flat tire which delayed the bus about 3 hours due to road service that was not prepared to fix the tire. She was calm, brought the bus to a safe stop and kept us posted on what was happening. These circumstances are not easy but most of the riders took the delay in good humor and your driver deserves a gold medal!!

Can you please let him know that I did catch the 9:00 bus at Port Authority that I was desperately hoping to catch as we pulled toward our stop in NY at 8:50? Thanks in part to him I was able to get home earlier and didn't have to wait an hour for another bus to my home in NJ. :) :) Tell him thanks for me!

Hello. I just used DC2NY for the first time this saturday (10:00am) and Sunday (8:15am). I was incredibly pleased with the whole experience and in particular the NY-DC driver Cesar. I usually take the train to DC because of mediocre experiences with other bus services (chinatown, greyhound, vamoose). Cesar’s courteousness and attention to the task made the trip experience surprisingly pleasant and safe; the quality of such drivers together with the bus’ cleanliness and wi-fi access will now make me loyal DC2NT customer. Last evening my friend and I were supposed to catch the 7:15 bus to New York through the Skyliner Bus Service. After quite a few minutes of arrival, we were notified by the DC2NY staff that the Skyliner bus was having some problems due to air conditioning malfunctioning. The bus driver from this company did not give any explanation to what was going on. The representative from DC2NY gave us options about the situation they asked if we wanted to ride the bus without A/C or wait for one of the Destiny Tours LLC bus to arrive which was in great conditions. We are very pleased with the service provided by DC2NY and Destiny Tours LLC. Jeronimo, Destiny Tours driver, was very pleasant and did apologized quite a few time for the inconvinience caused. They were very reliable and I will recommend this line of travel to anyone.

I just wanted to drop a note to inform you that your driver this evening (from NYC to DC), Cesar, was an absolute joy. As with evening trips, many of us tend to sleep or enjoy the peace and quiet on the bus. There was a woman who was extremely loud on her phone, despite his earlier introduction about keeping cell phone calls brief and a lower volume during conversations. He swiftly dealt with the situation professionally and her disturbance came to an end. This was a welcome intervention by all who sat around this woman. Overall, this trip was a pleasant one due in great part to Cesar and his swift, smooth, safe driving, and his ability to deal with difficult passengers. I look forward to my next trip on DC2NY.

We had a phenomenal experience!  My friend and I were impressed with the friendly, funny, lighthearted staff that helped us load on Friday afternoon and the clean, comfortable bus!  The drop off/pick up location in NYC was very convenient and the busses left on time on both legs of our trip.  We also loved the wireless internet connection!  This allowed up to log on to navigate our NYC plans on the way up!
 
We have already told dozens of people that DC2NY is the way to go!  We are already excited about our next DC2NY trip and are looking at dates in February!

i just wanted to share my thoughts -- my boyfriend and i commute between dc and nyc on weekends to visit each other. thanks to companies like dc2ny, this is made easy and affordable! by far, i have found the dc2ny service to be the most convenient of all the bus services in dc -- clean, affordable, comfortable (or at least comfortable as a long 4-6 hours bus ride can be, generally very friendly drivers, wifi and in-route movies. also, the boarding process is organized -- thank you. most other companies are chaotic with boarding, but the dc2ny staff is very helpful and organized, which helps with the inevitable stresses of traveling. Thank you.

I wish you would being using a 1 pm departure time. But I would rather stick with DC2NY than use another bus service, such as ____ bus, which I tried yesterday, and which was at least a half hour late, with no explanation. I gave up and took an expensive train. I love the free water, WiFi, clean restrooms, and 15 minute stops of DC2NY!! I have recommended the service to at least 50 friends. Thanks.

She was coming to visit me in NYC and missed her bus, got stuck in the rain, and called me in tears to say she couldn't come. I encouraged her to wait for the next bus and purchase a new ticket. I'd like to thank all the staff of DC2NY bus service for their support to me and my family.
I have reserved several bus tickets in the past several weeks. My father is very ill and requires a little attention on the bus rides from NYC to DC. All the bus drivers and Mr. Asi have bent over backwards to assist us. The drivers check on my father on the bus and always ensure that my family who speaks little English get off at the right stop. I am a frequent traveler to DC from NYC and I have to tell you that your service is head and shoulders above any other bus service I have experienced. I made a trip the wknd of Apr 18th and my girlfriend and I agreed it was the most pleasant trip to DC we had ever experienced. Our driver Alvin was especially great and went well beyond what we were expecting from him. Kudos on an excellent service and we will be traveling with you the next time our plans call for a trip to DC.

Hey, I just want to say that I think your staff is great! Everyone is friendly from the people I call to reschedule my ticket over the phone to the people that hand out the water and drive the bus. I always get to DC and back to NY the fastest and the most comfortable with you guys and I just wish you had more buses because I'm back and forth every weekend and I notice sometimes if I don't book well in advance I can't travel round trip but as a business woman sometimes I don't know what time I'm leaving till the day of. I can wait to see more new schedules, I tell all my friends to travel with you guys and as I travel back and forth every weekend believe me I've tried literally ALL the buses from DC to NY and by far you guys are the best! Dear DC2NY, After having taking various Chinatown buses to NYC for the past 3 years, I feel like discovering DC2NY is a revelation. THANK YOU so much for your service! It is everything I was hoping to find in a DC-NY bus company but had never found before. The buses were sparkling; the drivers were courteous, careful, and cheerful; the Dupont Circle and Penn Station meeting points are SO convenient -- truly everything about it is wonderful. I have had so many negative experiences, ranging from bad to disastrous, on other DC-NY bus companies over the past few years, and these buses were only $5 cheaper than DC2NY. Never again do I plan to take any other bus line but this one -- thank you again so much! I also want to personally compliment your driver Alvin, who already impressed me with his politeness, good cheer, and welcoming spirit -- but who especially impressed me (and everyone on our full bus) today (Sunday, 3/30/08) when he navigated us safely out of a dangerous and scary situation, when a crazy driver repeatedly tried to run our bus off the road. He kept us moving, kept calm, kept at a safe speed, and even went off the assigned route to get us away from this danger. Then afterwards, though of course he was at no fault, apologized profusely for the inconvenience and the scary situation. He really gets a huge recommendation from all of us who appreciate him keeping us safe. Thank you again for your welcoming, and warm staff, and for providing just the kind of bus service frequent DC-NY travellers like me had been hoping to find. I am thrilled to have discovered your company. Best wishes.

Hello. I go to school in Washington DC and live in NY and I love your service. I just wanted to let you know that I fully enjoy how much you all care about your passengers and their experience;  everything from the movies to the cleanliness of the buses to the demeanor of your staff. I rode once with {another bus company} and I will never ever try it again. There is such a difference between your quality and theirs. My only request is that you look into later bus routes on Thursdays..like evening ones or something. That would make traveling home so much easier. Thank you!

Thank you thank you thank you thank you for adding an evening bus from DC to NY on Thursdays!!! It has been so miserable to be faced with other bus companies' flaws (e.g., driving through Georgetown rush hour traffic from Rosslyn to Bethesda stop, adding up to 1.5 hours to the trip) when going to NY on a Thursday evening. Whenever I use another bus service, people all talk about how they'd prefer to take DC2NY but that the DC2NY bus was sold out. You're winning the bus war for market share. So, next step, please add more buses!

I recently took your bus from DC to NY. I have taken the chinatown and other buses many times. My trip with you all was by far the most pleasant one I've had. Everyone was on time and very polite (something I have found to be lacking on other buses). The Dupont location is very convenient as well. I will only take your bus in the future. Thank you.

I go between DC and NYC pretty frequently. I had been taking the Chinatown bus before picking up the DC2NY card in Caribou Coffee on 14th. I was running late and would have missed my bus in Dupont Circle, but your representative held the bus for me and called my cell phone. I didn't expect that kind of good customer service after my past experience with other companies. You guys are awesome. I've been telling everyone who travels about your website and plan to use your service for the next three weekends and probably every time I travel in the future.
